Admission Policy Probationary Period Payment Procedures Reduced Fees Daily Meals Disciplinary Methods
Little Lambs Christian Dayschool is
operated under a religious exemption granted by the Virginia
Department of Social Services, Daycare Licensing Division.
Under this exemption we are required to follow strict state and
federal guidelines for child care, food service, facility
maintenance, and hiring practices.
Admission Policy Enrollment is open to any child from ages 6
weeks up to 12 years. A child is enrolled only when the
following criteria have been adequately met.
A personal interview has been
completed with the child and parent(s).
A completed registration form has been
returned including a photocopy of the child's birth certificate(s),
immunization records, divorce decree (if applicable), and any
pertinent court order and any relevant medical
information.
Payment of $30.00 registration fee and
first week.

Probationary
Period All children
are considered to be on probation for the first two weeks of
attendance. Immediate termination of our services may be
indicated under the following circumstances.
Withdrawal of a child from any program
will require two weeks advance notice, and the parent will
assume financial responsibility until the end of the enrollment
period.

Payment
Procedures Payment is
due in advance by cash or check on Monday of the week your child
will be enrolled. A late fee will be assessed at the rate
of $2.00 per day per child. Payment made be made
bi-weekly or monthly subject to prior approval. If payment is
in arrears for more than two weeks, enrollment will be terminated
without further notice. A $20.00 charge will be assessed for
all returned checks.

Reduced
Fees After a child has
been enrolled full time for six months we allow five days
per six month period of "half pay" for vacation and sick time.
The days must be used by the end of each period, they do not
carry forward. The "half pay" days are forfeited upon the
withdrawal of a child from enrollment.

Daily
Meals Little Lambs
provides breakfast, lunch, and two snacks each day. The meals
and snacks are included in the basic rates and are available to all
registered children.
Our meals are designed to be
nutritionally balanced and meet USDA
guidelines. Menus are planned for two weeks and
are posted throughout the facility. Substitute foods or
special diets due to medical or religious reasons must be provided
by the parent(s).

Disciplinary
Methods If a caregiver
must intervene in a situation where a child becomes abusive or
displays dangerous or inappropriate behavior, we use the time out
method of correction. Time out is used as infrequently as
possible and limited to brief periods.
Our staff has been trained to
recognize and required by law to report any suspected abuse to the
proper authorities.
